Tristan Freel

Undergraduate Researcher

Tristan is a current third year undergraduate at the University of Chicago. While in high school he worked in innovation lab at the University of Notre Dame directed by Dr. W. Matthew Leevy translating patient CT data into 3D models to educate both the patient and the physician. He also aided graduate student and the Michiana community in prototyping their ideas into tangible products. Also, at the University of Notre Dame he worked under Dr. Bradley D. Smith analyzing NIR probes for hypoxia in tumors and helped in optimizing phantom for in vivo imaging.

Current Research

Tristan is currently investigating the role of lymphatics in diabetic neuropathy.
